Valley of the Dolls

"Never trust a girl at Coachella"
--Matoma

So if you've read anything about this ridiculous Fyre Festival nonsense you're probably making the same face I am in that last photo.  I mean, I thought Coachella was ridiculous... I mean I still went.  But so not the point.  Anyway, the point!  Throw out ANYTHING you would, or would have worn to a music festival.  I promise it's garbage.  Let's instead throwback a little to some cute swing dresses and strappy sandals, and, as usual, some red lipstick.  Spring is fully in bloom, it's 80 degrees (if you're in LA) and we can officially pop out those harsh teals and stark whites with no judgment.  Get comfy, get bold, and-- I sound like a Covergirl commercial.  You know what I mean.

Beachy Keen

Let's go to the beach, beach
Let's get away
--Nicki Minaj

The best kinds of dresses to throw on over your bathing suits are ones with lots and lots of buttons!  You can change wherever and whenever, and still look cute after spending all day in the ocean.  If you're stuck in the humidity and heat like I am, keep to light fabrics and cool colors this summer.  Don't forget a sassy pair of sunglasses to top everything off!

New York State of Mind

"In New York you can be a new man"
--Hamilton

Nothing like a 70 degree day in March.  Perfect for picnics, biking, or taking photos of yourself in Central Park.  I may live in LA right now, but New York will always be my home.  Like the city itself, this spring looks full of simple and highly comfortable styles that you can wear any time and any place.  Think bold colors and lots of stripes.  You can never go wrong with stripes.

Thigh's the Limit

Other than being my 19th birthday, today was the first day of classes (yes, I know it's almost October).  As an acting major we have to be prepared to run, sweat, and crawl on the floor in almost every class so it's imperative that we wear "moveable" clothing.  This, however, does not stop me from making that work for me.  Loose fitted shorts, thigh high knee socks, and a crop top can work just as well as sweats and some baggy t-shirt.
