So if you've read anything about this ridiculous Fyre Festival nonsense you're probably making the same face I am in that last photo.  I mean, I thought Coachella was ridiculous... I mean I still went.  But so not the point.  Anyway, the point!  Throw out ANYTHING you would, or would have worn to a music festival.  I promise it's garbage.  Let's instead throwback a little to some cute swing dresses and strappy sandals, and, as usual, some red lipstick.  Spring is fully in bloom, it's 80 degrees (if you're in LA) and we can officially pop out those harsh teals and stark whites with no judgment.  Get comfy, get bold, and-- I sound like a Covergirl commercial.  You know what I mean.

HAPPY FIRST DAY OF AUTUMN!

It is officially my favorite season and I could not be more excited to drown myself in all things fall... scary movies, chunky sweaters, and pumpkin goodies.  Unfortunately LA is hot hot hot so I have to make do (ignore the leaves on the ground, they're just dehydrated from the drought) with linen pants and dark colors.  As I march to my first classes of the year, tote bags seem to be the most useful of all my accessories, fitting my needs as a school bag and a going out purse!

The little black skirt.  It is a staple for a reason, my friends.  In this awkward interim between winter and spring, we found ourselves scrounging for inspiration.  Our Spring 2015 goodies are stored tightly away until that glorious day in March, but our winter sweaters just won't cut it anymore.  In these difficult times, it is always best to turn to simplicity and monochromatism.  Hence, the LBS.  It is flirty, fun, and feminine, and can be dressed up or down.  I chose a printed shirt to add a minimal contrast and emphasize the graphic.  So if you're feeling the winter blues, don't fret!  Stay simple, and look forward to the bright spring colors only weeks away!

In a very Daisy Buchanan fashion, I donned a bright polka dot headscarf to brighten up a fairly simple outfit.  5-Button, high-waisted shorts and a natural colored crop top?  Slumming it!  Add in a pair of gold polka dot Kate Spade Keds and a headscarf?  Better.  And of course, always that pop of color on the lips.  Sporty, casual, but still alludes to another time...
